Which of the following pairs of elements could possibly be in the same group on the periodic table? A forms a 1+ ion; B forms a 1- ion. A has an atomic number 15; B forms a 3- ion. A tends to form a 2+ ion; B tends to gain two electrons. A tends to gain one electron; B has eight valence electrons.

This is not the chemistry section... I didn't study Chemistry much but C makes the most sense to me (given that I correctly guessed that 2+ = gain 2 electrons)
