8z+3-2z<51

OpenStudy (anonymous):

8z+3-2z=6z+3, so 6z+3<51 Then just take away 3 from both sides: 6z<48 And finally divide both sides by 6 to get it in it's simplest form, so z<8 That make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not at all, im so bad at this haha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Haha, ok! Well, we want the equation written as z in terms of some number. So first, on the left hand side do you agree that 8z+3-2z is 6z+3? You're just simplifying the amount of z's!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay, okay im kind of getting it haha im actually doing a lesson now and its so difficult...ive always been awful at math. help! haha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So just looking at the amounts of z's on the left hand side. There's 8-2 right? Which is 6!
