Graph the exponential function. y = 5(2)^x
@S0fw0N
can you plot points on graph, like given any point (a,b) can u plot it on graph ?
first find, what is y=...? when x=0 and u get a point like (0,b)
a http://postimage.org/image/7cucouy11/38448a96/ b http://postimage.org/image/r0s1jhghl/6b6c5f99/ c http://postimage.org/image/dkgt3w279/dc096e93/ d http://postimage.org/image/xm39a3jgv/2945675d/
i think its c
oh, can u use wolf ?
pick a few points for x to get a y-value plot on a graph.
you will get the y-intercept if u put x=0
u know what that means ? you get a point where the graph cuts y-axis.
when i put x=o i get y=5 on wolf
so, the y-intercept is (0,5) which eliminates b,c choices
right ?
i thought it was c 0.0
to decide among a or d you can put x=1, and see what you get as y and the point will be of the form, (1,b) and its not c.
its A i just turned it and its a
turned it ?
yea the graph they had on wolf was C but if u turn it its A and its (1,5)
when you put x=1, u get y= 5 (2)^1 = 10 so the point is (1,10) which rules out d, if you observe....
Since it's all positive numbers, the line will be going up as you go to the right, so you can immediately rule out any graphs where the line goes down as you go the right. Which leaves only a and c. Then you can check values as hartnn showed.
the awsner was A, i got a 90%
a is correct :) you can also plot graphs on google btw. Just type in 5(2)^x and hit enter.
