Can somebody recommend me some very nice books for OOP in java?

OpenStudy (myname):

Are you just starting in java ?

OpenStudy (myname):

One of the books that i used to learn java is Introduction to Java Programming, Comprehensive, 8/e. This book is good for starters. It has many exercises and I think if you buy it new, then there are video notes for selected chapters which you can view online.

Bates and Sierra, "Head First Java"

Especially, if you are taking data structures then you can use Data Structures and Abstractions with Java by Frank M. Carrano. Also has Java part II on the appendices which might not have been covered in an introductory course.
