OpenStudy (abb0t):

By definition, rigid motion is: a transformation consisting of rotations and translations which leaves a given arrangement unchanged. This appears to be a rigid motion because you basically expanded the circle or multiplied it to make it larger. The circle has not changed its shape or taken a new form, making it a rigid motion.
