You need to make the fractions have the same denominator. 2 and 2/5 is the same as 2 and 6/15 as you multiply top and bottom by 3/3. Therefore the sign is B as the left side is smaller than the right side because 5/15 is smaller than 6/15

If you leave out the two 2's - they are on both sides, so unimportant, you have to compare 5/15 and 2/5. Can you see the answer now?
