I had to do an experiment with hydrogen perioxide and see reactinons the test was with my cheek cell and leaf but i had no reaction on my cheek cell why ?

OpenStudy (abb0t):

It may not have shown a reaction, but the cells ARE affected by the presence of hydrogen peroxide. One thing to know is that hydrogen peroxide is a strong and aggressive oxidative agent which can stress cells and essentially damage them! One reason that it may not have affected your cheek cells is because the peroxide was probably diluted. For instance, some peroxides are sold as 3% solution, meaning 3% peroxide, 97% water.
