How about we try and find the solution set of: \[7x_1-\frac{ 5 }{ 9 }x_2 = -1\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let say we have an equation like 3x+4 =0 now the solution of this equation means that we have to find such value of x such that L.H.S = R.H.S the equation is 3x+4 =0 solve for x we get 3x+4-4 =0-4 3x = -4 3x/3 = -4/3 x= -4/3 ------> required solution to check whether this solution is right or wrong put this value of x in the given equation 3(-4/3)+4 = 0 -4+4 = 0 0 = 0 thus LHS = RHS which proves that x=-4/3 is the right solution
