This is a straight evaluation that can be performed on any scientific calculator. The 'e' constant takes the place of the radical number 2.71828.... if you raise this to 1.6 you will arrive at your answer. many calculators have a 'e' button for such calculations

it is...but next time you see 'e', know that it is just a number (2.718) with lots of decimal places that is made to look shorter by giving it its own variable
