RANDOM Q: Determine the volume of the pyramid with square base of length 50m and height of 30m.

OpenStudy (ghazi):

\[V=\frac{ 1 }{ 3 }*(side)^2*height=\frac{ 1 }{ 3 }*(50)^2*(30) m^3 \] :)

OpenStudy (abb0t):

Not quite. I used similar triangles to find out my equation for this problem

OpenStudy (ghazi):

this is what, derivation says :)

OpenStudy (abb0t):

What's derivation? :)

OpenStudy (ghazi):

from where the above formula is derived :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you mean by length?

OpenStudy (ghazi):

length= breadth , since it is a square based pyramid

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Does he mean the dimension of the base? Length is an extremely vague term to use here.
