19. A mattress store sells their stock for 15% off of retail. If someone pays cash, they take an additional 10% off of the discounted price. If a mattress's retail price is $750, what is the price after the store discount and the cash discount? A. $550.75 B. $562.50 C. $573.75 D. $637.50 E. $675.0

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Hint: When you apply an x% discount, you are multiplying the original price by (100-x)/100 ex: when you apply a 25% discount, you're really multiplying the original price by (100-25)/100 = 0.75 So if the original price was $600, then applying a 25% discount gives you 600*0.75 = 450 dollars as the sale price
