Help me please! Find the range and deviation of the following numbers 0.29,0.19,0.19,0.15,0.13,0,24,0,29,0.24,0.14, 0.15,0.12,0.15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

range would be 29, deviation \[\approx 9.6206\] hang on and ill type how you get it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The range of a set of data is the difference between the greatest and least values in the data set.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that was copied from my book, but the range for your question is 29

OpenStudy (anonymous):

highest number listed - lowest number listed = range 29-0= 29

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for the deviation visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Standard_deviation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how about 0.955,0.911,0.921,0.842,0.939,0.881,0.913,0.912,0.956,0.948,0.921

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first thing you do (or I do anyways) is arange them in order... 0.842,0.881,0.911,0.912,0.913,0.921,0.921,0.939,0.948,0.955,0.956 0.956 is highest, 0.842 is lowest so range would be 0.956 minus 0.842 = 0.114 deviantion would be \[s \approx 0.0338\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you have many more like this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no, just different types now...thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, i will be on browsing other questions for a while if you need any more help hollow if you need anything
