When a scientific investigation produces evidence that does not support the hypothesis, what can you conclude about the investigation?

A "hypothesis" is like an educated guess, as to why something happens. In order to see whether or not the hypothesis is correct, we have to do scientific investigations, like experiments. So, if we do an experiment, and the information from the experiment doesn't support our hypothesis, then it pretty much means that our hypothesis was incorrect.
