Hello, I'm having trouble with problem 8.7. One of the constraints for operation in the saturation region is vDS >= vGS-VT My question: What is vDS in this scenario? I assume it is: vDS = vO -(-VS) i.e. vDS = vO+VS ...and similarly.. vGS = vIn - (-VS) i.e. vGS = vIn + VS Is this correct? I cannot get my answer to match the answer in the back of the book and I suspect it is related to this. Thanks in advance, - Randy

I'm attaching an image to show the amplifier circuit that I'm referring to.

Doesn't seem like there's much help out here. I posted a simple question that is directly from the book associated with this course. That was 11 days ago, and no help. When I signed up, I think the claim was that most questions are answered within 45 minutes. Bummer. I was hoping to find people, like myself, who are trying to work through problems at the end of each chapter in the book.
