Enzymes are special proteins that our bodies use, in order to jump-start the chemical reactions that happen inside our bodies.

The sum of all the chemical reactions in our bodies is called "metabolism."

Our metabolism is the entirety of all the chemical reactions that our cells need, in order to stay alive.

Without a metabolism, we wouldn't be able to survive.
