Consider projectile motion taking into consideration the effect of air resistance. Let time taken to reach maximum height=t1. Time taken to get back to the ground from maximum height=t2. How are t1 and t2 related? i.e. is t1>t2 or t1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

t1<t2|dw:1356713408530:dw| air drag is proportional to v^2 and changes direction when object falls. air drag INcreases the average deceleration on the way up and DEcreases the acceleration on the way down. The distance is equal so time must be longer on way down.
