Which of the following statements about the compound HCl is true? (1 point)
we need to see the following statements
The physical and chemical properties of HCl are different from those of H2 and Cl2. Only the physical properties of HCl are different from those of H2 and Cl2. Only the chemical properties of HCl are different from those of H2 and Cl2. The physical and chemical properties of HCl are the same as those of H2 and Cl2.
What do you know about the properties of HCl? H2? Cl2? Also - are you able to define and contrast what physical and chemical properties are?
B) only the physical properties of HCL are diffferent from H2 and CL2. Think about it: hydrogen is a gass, chloride is a powder...when combined they make hydrochloric acid. This changes it from a gas and solid to a liquid. However, what goes in must come out. H and CL mixed to make HCL and HCL is made of these two so nothing was chemically altered
Hey, the answer is actually the first one. Both change. Just thought I'd through that in there to help anyone having trouble.
