how do i know which assignment corresponds with which lecture? because there are double the amount of lectures as there are assignments

You can cross reference the assignments with the "key dates" column to figure out which lectures may go over an assignment.

The assignments span multiple lectures.  They appear on the page for the lecture during which they are due.

The assignments don't correspond exactly. I believe the intention is for you to watch the lectures and do the assignments as they are posted on the lesson page. I tend to skip ahead to the problem sets, do them first, then watch the lecture on the new material.
