Which of the following sequences of numbers are arithmetic sequences? Check all that apply.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C and D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B also

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for arithmetic sequences u should find the difference between consecutve terms and check if they r same

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

Find the diffrence between two consecutive terms. If the difference is constant through out the series then it is an arithmetic series. Difference can be found using \(d=a_{n+1}-a_n\) Hope that helps:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so which ones officially?

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

Take first option 1,-2,3,-4,5,.... -2-1=-3 3-(-2)=5 the difference is not consistent. so this is not an arithmetic sequence. Similarly check the other options.:)
