Cancer can be described as a disease characterized by the cell cycle going out of control. Discuss what it means for the cell cycle to be out of control. Is it appropriate to connect cancer and the cell cycle? Why or why not?
Cancer is the uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells which may eventually lead to malignant tumors. For the cell cycle to be out of controlled means that when processesing the cells it never receives a signal to "shut off" the reactions. This lead to the uncontrolled growth of the cells. Its appropriate for it to be associated to it because cells grow through respiration in which it goes through the krebs cycle
there is uncontrolled cell division in cancer....telomeric stop signals are reduced and cells which normally shouldnt be dividing at a rate multiply exponentially.....maybe related to cell division....g0 g1 s g2 m cycles of cells.....not related to any metabolic pathways like krebs etc....
