Cell signalling is very much a molecular biology or biochemistry topic. Cancer biology covers a number of different disciplines - on the clinical side, people do Medical Doctorates in oncology. And various specialists with advanced degrees in more theoretic or abstract biology work on specific aspects of cancer processes, like signal transduction, cell cycle control, cell proliferation, etc.
