If you translated the bottom vector up and to the right so that it connected to the other vector, you would have the end point of the resultant vector. The beginning point would be the origin.

one of the vector is given to be 5i+j (here i and j denote unit vectors along x and y axes )
other vector is 3i+5j
hence their resultant is gievn by (5+3)i +(1+5)j=8i+6j
the reqd ordered pair is (8,6)
