HEELLLLPPP MEE PLEASE!!! Solve 3(t - 2) > 4(2t + 11). A. t > -10 B. t > 1.8 C. t < 1.8 D. t < -10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Multiply it all out first: 3(t - 2) > 4( 2t +11) 3t-6 > 8t +44 Now you need to combine like terms: 3t - 6 > 8t + 44 +6 +6 ---------------- 3t > 8t +50 -8t -8t ----------- -5t > 50 -------- -5 t < -10 (The sign was flipped because every time you multiply or divide by a negative, it flips)

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

First, use the distributive property on both sides to get rid of parentheses.
