Ok i did an experiment where i soaked a raw egg in water + vinegar for 3 days. As a result the eggshell dissolved and the egg was nearly transparent at the 3 days. So the last question I had at the end of the lab report i did was: If you were to continue this experiment by removing the egg from the water and covering it in syrup, what do you think would happen. Explain your prediction. My prediction is that the syrup will form a layer over the egg. But how could I explain this using knowledge bout cells and their structure?

what about mentioning protein structure? The white part of the egg is made of globular (not membrane) proteins that could be denatured by changing the solvent. Changing the water dielectric constant with sugar might "bake" the egg.
