149 reactions?! That definitely sounds like Metabolic Biochemistry. The worse biochem class of them all!! :(
What helped me is making a "story" or using like short-hand names for reactions. I think I used
"math addict sam" for amino acid biosynthesis of methionine to serine. the "addict" was the adeinine" or adenosine intermediate. I think.
