Identify which lines are parallel. a) y = 4x b) y = - 1/4x - 3 c) 12x - 3y = 6 d) 4(y + 6) = x - 3 I know the slope for a is 4 and the slope for b is - 1/4, but I need help with the others.

geerky42 (geerky42):

For others, simply isolate y to identify slope.

a and c

geerky42 (geerky42):

Explain how you got this solution, @mustry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How did you get c?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not d is c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

condition of parallel lines m1=m2 4=4

geerky42 (geerky42):

You just need to isolate y to identify slope of the equation.
