so from your pic it looks like the first point where the line segment begins is (1,40) and it ends at (7,100). use the change in y/change in x relationship to find that \[\frac{ 100-40 }{ 7-1 } = 60/6 = 10\]

y – y1 = m(x – x1)

100-40=10(7-1)
