subordinate clause - also called a dependent clause, will begin with a subordinate conjunction or a relative pronoun and will contain both a subject and a verb. Now lets look at your choices.... #2 is not it....we know just by looking, because it does not contain a subject. #3 is not it ....does not contain a conjunction or a pronoun. #4 is not it ...does not contain a conjunction or a pronoun. Lets look at #1...." while " is a subordinate conjunction..." I " is the subject, and " am sure" is the verb. So...your answer is #1 :)
