If fan is switched on it increases or decreases the temperature of the room?
increases-*
Then how do we feel cool
The fan will increase the total temperature of the room. Due to the mechanical motor with the fan, we illusion of being cool is to do with wind chill.
you know sweating helps to remove heat fromthebody? how does that happen?
yes... I guess evaporation
correct
Sweating helps to remove body heat by evaporation because heat is extracted from body when liquid water changes phase to water vapour. The fan creates an air flow and accelerates the process of heat removal from body to surrounding air as well as sweating. Thus more heat is removed from body and feeling cooler.
oh.... So, if we want to increase the temperatur of the room can we switch ON our fan
no
why?
it shouln't happen in an "empty" room
But it will increase the K.E of the air molecules. right?
A fan "merely" circulates the air in closed space (example: empty room). The hot air in the room and also the very little air heated up by the action of the fan move upwards due to the centrifugation provided by the fan.
Hot air is lighter (less heavy) than cool air and always tends to move up. this tendency is assisted by the centrifugation provided by the ceiling fan.
So, why the temperature of the room will not increas
