Find the values of x, y, and z. The diagram is not to scale.

find \(x\) first, using the fact that \(63+36+x=180\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then you can find \(y\) since \(x+y=180\) as well

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What I have so far is 63+36=81 which is x. 81+y=180 Subtract 180 from 81 to get 99 which is y. How do I get z?

hartnn (hartnn):

actually, x+y is not 180 x+z = 180 so you got z = 99 . and is correct. to find 'y', you again use the fact that sum of angles of a triangle = 180 so, 13+z+y=180 get 'y' from here .....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=81,y=68,z=99. Correct?

hartnn (hartnn):

yes!

Awesome! Thank you so much!

hartnn (hartnn):

welcome ^_^
