What is the 32nd term of the arithmetic sequence where a_1 = -34 and a_9 = -122?

hartnn (hartnn):

the general formula for 'n' th term of arithmetic series is \(a_n=a_1+(n-1)d\) now put n=9,a9=-122 and find 'd'

hartnn (hartnn):

can u find 'd' ? @badATalgebra ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think so thanks.

hartnn (hartnn):

ok, once you've found 'd' just put the values again in \(a_n=a_1+(n-1)d\) n=32,d=.....? and you'll get 32nd term as a32 .

okay.
