is y=-x and y=x parallel or perpendicular or neither

hartnn (hartnn):

can you find slope of line y=x ??

hartnn (hartnn):

slope of line y=mx is 'm'

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you have two equations in slope-intercept form (y=mx+b), say y=m1x+b1 and y=m2x+b2, they are parallel if and only if m1=m2. They are perpendicular if and only m1=-1/m2. (m is your slope and b is your y-intercept)

ok, thanks
