(6f ^2 - 13 - 11f) ÷ (3f - 4)

Long division... Do you know how?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(x 3 + 43 - 49x - 7x 2) ÷ (x 2 - 49)

One at a time plz ;) First write it this way: 3f-4 / 6f² - 11f -13 \ Now with what would you have to multiply 3f to get 6f²? It's 2f. Multiply 2f with 3f-4, put it below the rest. Subtract and pull in -13: 3f-4 / 6f² - 11f -13 \ 2f 6f² - 8f ------- - -3f - 13 Same again: multiply with -1: 3f-4 / 6f² - 11f -13 \ 2f - 1 6f² - 8f ------- - -3f - 13 -3f + 4 -------- - -17 Remainder is -17, so: \[(6f ^2 - 13 - 11f) ÷ (3f - 4)=2f-1 - \frac{ 17 }{ 3f-4 }\]
