Which of the following is not an equivalent form of the compound inequality? x + 6 > 15 or x + 6 less than or greater to 12 A x > 9 or x less than or greater to 6 B x less than or greater to 6 or x > 9 C A number line with an open circle on 9, shading to the right, and a closed circle on 6, shading to the left. D A number line with an open circle on 9, a closed circle on 6, and shading in between.
x > 9 "x + 6 less than or greater to 12 " is this a typo?
nope @jennychan12
hmm, i dunno then sorry
x + 6 > 15 x > 15 - 6 x > 9 x + 6 <> 12 (this is how you have it written ?) x <> 12 - 6 x <> 6 ANSWER : c and d are not equivalent....the reason being, is that there will be no closed circles because there is no equal signs.
