Find three solutions of the equation. y=-5x+1 a. (–2, 11), (1, –4), (0, 1) c. (–2, 11), (1, –4), (2, –8) b. (0, 1), (3, –16), (–2, 11) d. (1, –4), (0, 1), (–1, 5)

Remember when they give you a POINT it's (x,y), so in your case what you have to do it's to put the values for x and y in each case and solve, ask again if you have doubts.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but i tried all of them and i thought it was d.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To know if it's right you need to have the same numbers in both sides of the equal sign.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And you are right, d(1,-4) gives you -4=-4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what about the second one (0,1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it gives you 1=-5(0)+1, so 1=1, correct.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

kk thank you

The only problem with this exercise is that it's very big, i mean, you gonna be here until tomorrow to count ALL the points, i don't like this kind of excercises really, but i hope you got it, hehehe :D no problem.
