Use the formula d=rt to solve. Latoya can get to school in .25 hours on her bike, but it takes .75 hoursto walk. Her speed walking is 10 miles per hour slower than on a bike. How far does she travel to school? (hint: the distances are equal for walking and biking)

OpenStudy (phi):

Try writing down an equation using .75 hours to walk. & speed walking is 10 miles per hour slower than on a bike. I would call her speed on the bike x (just to pick a variable name at random)

OpenStudy (phi):

if her speed on the bike is x, what is her walking speed ? (10 less than x) but as a math expression

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5 miles
