multiply the bottom equation by 2 in order to cancel out the y. (x-y=3)2 2x-2y=6 Now add the two equations 4x+2y=12 2x-2y=6 6x=18 (Now solve for X) x=3 Now plug the X back into the either equation. 4(3)+2y=12 12+2y=12 2y=0 y=0 Y=0 X=3
