Can someone check my work? Will give medal. A regular hexagon has 6 hexagons surrounding it. Each of the 6 hexagons shares a side with the middle hexagon and with the hexagon next to it. If each of the hexagons has 2-inch sides, what is the perimeter of the figure?

I got 36 inches. 3 of one hexagon's sides are shown. There are 6 hexagons surrounding the middle. One side is 2 inches. So 3x6x2=36. 36 inches! Is that right?
