It would appear that you need to set this up as a definite integral. While I am not certain, it seems to me it would be something along the lines of \[L=\int\limits_{0}^{84}speed \space dt\]

usually when your told to use numerical integration they mean make an approximation using something like the trapezoidal rule or simpson's rule.
