Which system is represented by the graph? (graph attached) I think the answer is the first one: A)y ≥ - x - 1 y < 2x + 2 B) y ≤ -x + 2 y < 2x - 1 C)y < - x - 1 y ≥ 2x + 2 D)y > - x + 2 y ≤ 2x - 1
you might want to attach your graph
a solid line represents greater/less than or equal to so ju know that one of them and so now ju gotta find the slopes, the red line goes up and is shaded above not below so it is going to be greater than or equal to. the blue line goes down but it is not a solid line and it is shaded below so it will be less than. now ju can look for the y-intercepts (where the line crosses the y-axis) the y-int of the red line is 2, and the y-int of the blue line is -1. now ju can find the slopes. the slope is the 'slant' of each line. to find it, ju can take 2 points of a line and plug them into the formula \[\frac{ y _{2}-y _{1} }{ x _{2}-x _{1} }\] so to find the slope of the red line, ju could take the points (-1,0) and (0,2). then ju would plug them into that formula. do the same thing with the blue line ju could take the points (-1,0) and (0,-1). once ju do tell me what ju get and i will tel ju if ju are correct :)
why qould i liug thos points i how would that helpmne ?
to find the slope. you need the slope to make the equations of the lines

how is the slope of that line 3x?
your line is 3x+2 I used (0,0) as a test point, it has to be false os 0>2 is false but since you line is solid you need the equal sign
