2. What is a domain of a function? How about its range? What is the domain and range of a linear function? Quadratic function?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the domain is how far the function travels, from left to right. range is the distance it travels from bottom up. in a linear function it would be all real numbers because it is a straight line that is constantly traveling forward upwards and backwards downward if it has a positive slope if it was negative then it be opposite and in a quadratic, the domain would how far it goes and ussaully always it is a all real numbers but the range start where the vertix is and goes to infinity.
