Hi @ilovemiles. Do you actually mean Drosophila melanogaster? Please note that when you word-process a scientific name, the Genus that is the first word always starts with a capital letter and the second one - the species, starts with a small letter but both are italized whilst when hand-writing it, you can't really show the italic font. So, you underline both.
