how to calculate I movement of inertiA

OpenStudy (ksaimouli):

\[\int\limits_{}^{}r^2\]

OpenStudy (ksaimouli):

i know that is 1/3ml^2 but how to calculate it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\int\limits_{}^{}r ^{2 } dm\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

take a length x and a width dx at the length x .now calculate the mass of the dx length from the total mass and length.once u get this mass(dm) multiply by x^2 to get the moment of innertia of the particle(dI) integrate dI from limits (in here 0 to L) to get the moment of innertia about the end point

OpenStudy (ksaimouli):

sorry i did not get u
