3c + 4 = -4c - 17

OpenStudy (abb0t):

add the 4c, combine like terms, solve for c.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

isolate C to get it by itself so ju would subtract 4 on both sides and then add 4c to both sides then divide by what ju get

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so i would get 7c+4=-17 then i would subtract 4 and get 7c=-13 then divid by 7 and c = -1.8?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when ju add a negative and a negative, it is like adding 2 positive numbers ju just keep the sign so it would be (-17)+(-4) which would be -21

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so then i would have 7c=-21??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yesh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which woul give me c= -3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep
