help plz \[3ax+b if x \le 0\] \[e ^{z (az+b)} if x > 0\] calculate a and b ...if is derivable

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

for being derivable,it must be continuous so f(0-) = f(0) = f(0+) .....(1) also, f'(0-) = f'(0) = f'(0+) ...(2) 2eqns, 2 variables..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[f'(x) = 3a \] \[f'(x) =2az+b\] Correct?

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

nopes.. done 2nd part incorrectly.. also why is z there? is that a typo ? am assuming that should be x.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no is z not x

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

hmm.. whats the relation between z and x ? i'd still say its a typo.. z and x are neighbors on a keyboard !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

its actually unclear if that's z or x z makes no sense,has to be x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is z

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Yahoo!

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how can solve ?

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

equate functions at 0 equate derivatives at 0 AND THAT, MY DEAR FRIEND,,, IS x !!!

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

if you take it as z, the derivative of that comes in the form of dz/dx.. which is where we will get stuck..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmmm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok leave this question \[\lim_{x \rightarrow 2^{-}} 9x-3/ x ^{2} - 2x\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

??

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

3(3x-1)/x(x-2) x<2 so it should go to -inf ..right ?

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

and dont leave that question, i can bet that what i was trying to say for that, am 110% right !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dear is z ...not x

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

maam thats a misprint i'd give 2 good logics : 1) z makes it senseless sin relation between z and x is not known 2) z and x, are next to each other on keyboard, so there is, some probability, that there was a typing error. also, in your screenshot, clarity about z and x is not feasible..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that question was entry test

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

am not gonna argue further! i'd like someone other to enlighten us here!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is impossible....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok then solve this quest @gk_goel

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Muskan which quest??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it in english?? @Muskan

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no is spanish calculate a and b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@gk_goel
