Please help me with these two math questions??? #1 Divide the shape into 4 congruent figures each of which is similar to the original shape. What is the area of each shape? #2 Describe as many similar triangles as you can in the map of Midtown Manhattan in New York City. Thank you for your help, medals will be awarded.

On the attachment the first two questions.

Is what I did correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think there is 5 similar triangles, i am not sure though

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For the first question, do you have to use the entire shape or just make the figures as large as possible

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just kidding that didn't make sense

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I put 24 cm squared for the first question so is that right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you were to divide the area of the figure into 4 equal shapes, the area of each would be 27 but I don't know if you can make 4 shapes of that size that are similar to the original figure
