In this lesson you learned to check the sign of a polynomial’s leading coefficient. If the coefficient is negative, you can factor out -1 (negative one) first. Then you can factor the rest of the expression more easily. After factoring the polynomial, how do you determine which values of the variable make the original expression undefined? Give an example of a polynomial expression, not from the textbook, that has at least one undefined value and show it in factored form. Finally, read at least two of your classmates' postings and identify the undefined value in their examples.
