What does += stand for In Python?

OpenStudy (konradzuse):

+= should be in all langs the same thing. Lets say you have a = 0; b = 1; a += b; // this is 1 Basically it means a = a + b; It's just afaster way to to say make this statement add itself, AND another variable.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks for that. So a way of editing a variable by adding b to itself... Gotcha!
