limit help
\[\lim_{x \rightarrow 2}\frac{ v ^{3}-8 }{ v ^{4}-16 }\]
Is L-Hospitals Rule Allowed ?
need to factor first. DO NOT TAKE THE LIMIT!
L hopital
can only be used when the result is 0/0
i know if i take the limit then i divide by zero. how do i use L'Hospital?
you don't want 0 at all
Differentiate Numerator and Denominator Seperately then apply the limit
L'hopital is taking the derivative of the numerator and denominator
you can factor. DO NOT USE L'HOPITAL if it is not in an 'indeterminate' form or you will gain a useless answer - it won't make sense
that's what I'm saying. L'hopital is only when it's in 0/0 form
cube factor/ perfect square factor
how can I factor it then? whichever way is simpler and more time saving
*lpoints*
sigh how can I type this without giving direct answers
lol. ok you have a lot of 2 multiples in there. try it and see what happens
you have a cube polynomial on the numerator <--- that's a special way of factoring.
wait is that a 3 or a 2 o_o
you have a perfect square polynominal <-- factoring isn't as difficult as the cube
