How the Context Influences the Character
Describe three ways that this new context will influence the character's response and ability to deal with his or her obstacle.
1.Example: The new context is 1800, 210 years earlier than the context in the novel. The absence of computer technology and simultaneous communication (telephones) would make it so the character has to work out the problem independently. He would not have knowledge gained through internet searches, and he would not have the instant or constant support of friends and family who live far away from him. He would have to wait for letters, which would arrive too late. Working through the problem by himself may make the character stronger, but it also could make it so that he does not successfully overcome the obstacle.
